September 2011 – The Border Project launches 1st phase of new website

You are currently reading a page on the new Border Project website. We’ve teamed up with long term company collaborator and designer Joel van der Knaap and web developer Corey Dodd of Elk Creative to bring you a comprehensive online resource and access point for all things The Border Project, open to industry, artists, audiences and media alike. Phase 2 of this site will include a more interactive platform for artists and our audiences to enter into dialogue with the creative team here and contribute to the development process of creating work and opening up the theatrical experience to encompass more than an evening’s entertainment. We are thrilled to be live with Phase 1 and welcome your comments on it on our social media pages. Stay tuned for news of Phase 2!

July 2011 – The Geeks take up Residence…

With thanks to Australia Council’s amazing Geeks in Residence programme, The Border Project is thrilled to be adding to our number with two very talented ‘Geeks’. Michael Marner and Logan McDonald will be helping us engage with technology like never before and we are super excited to have them on board. Watch out for phase 2 of this website and many other exciting technological advances that just wouldn’t be possible without them.

June 2011 – New Exec Producer at the helm…

With so much happening at The Border Project in the near future we’re delighted to welcome on board our new Executive Producer, Nichola Miles. Nichola joins us after moving to Australia from the UK where she’s spent the past 13 years working in the arts. With expertise and experience in both Producing and Marketing, Nichola will also be helping us put The Border Project on the grid. Great news for all who like us, think we’ve been hiding our light under a bushel for too long.

May 2011 – The Border Project has a new home

The Border Project has just signed the lease on a new office in the colourful and characterful Peel Chambers in the heart of Adelaide’s cultural district. Within a stone’s throw from Arts SA, State Theatre of South Australia, Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Fringe Offices, The Border Project finds itself in great company in this part of town and located precisely above the offices of fellow theatricals Slingsby Theatre Company. Is that a herd of elephants above? Nope it’s The Border Project on the move and there’s lots happening in the coming months so there will be plenty of comings and goings and we’re stoked to have space to spread out. Thanks to our wonderful friend’s at The Adelaide Festival for leasing us a room in their offices to date and we hope you enjoy your new photocopy room!
